Alumni in the News: Damian Mogavero '89
Damian Mogavero, class of 89 is an innovator. He has made his mark in the restaurant industry as the founder and CEO of Avero. While CFO of a New York-based restaurant group, he witnessed the dysfunction at restaurants when chefs and managers did not have the right tools and information to run their operations efficiently. Furthermore, Damian recognized that the restaurant industry needed easy-to-use software that could help food and beverage operators reach faster, smarter, more profitable decisions, while providing outstanding service to their guests.
Avero Inc., a service that Damian describes as a “web-based business intelligence provider”, aggregates over $24 billion in food and beverage data and has accumulated over 10,000 food and beverage operations worldwide that entrust Avero with their data. Damian’s expertise has been widely recognized and written about in publications as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Fast Company, Fortune Small Business, WIRED, Food Arts and Sante. Most recently, Damian’s exciting project, The Underground Culinary Tour, was featured on CBS Saturday Morning. Click on the link below to follow the Tour which educates restaurant leaders on emerging trends, using New York City as a restaurant laboratory.

Alumni Contribute to Successful Haddonfield Educational Trust Golf and Tennis Fundraiser
The 108 golfers, including several alumni, had warmed up on the practice range, grabbed their bag lunches, received final instructions from tournament co-chair Jack Tarditi, and drove their carts onto the pristine Tavistock fairways under lovely blue skies. Some four hours and fourteen holes later our intrepid hackers were called in from the course. While the thunder and heavy downpour may have dampened the golfers’ spirits, they returned to the clubhouse to find that co-chair, Chrissy Del Duca had anticipated the worst, planned ahead, and the barbecue was ready to go indoors.
Keep your e-mail and mailing addresses current and you'll receive the details for all alumni information, activities, events, and reunions.
Haddonfield Educational Trust expresses its sincere appreciation to alum Dan Smith '99, Regional VP of Tito's Handmade Vodka who sponsored the recent pre Golf Tournament Fundraiser at Kaminski's. Many thanks to Dan and many fellow alums who attended this event.

Class of 1956 Presents Gift
At the Haddonfield Public Schools Board of Education meeting, on Thursday, February 2, 2017, Mr. Bill Kain '56, presented a check to the Haddonfield Education Trust. The gift was given by the members of the Class of '56 to support the Haddonfield Public Schools.
For most of the past six years, on a Tuesday or Thursday evening in January, February, or March, Mae (’54) and Jon (’55) Batchelor could be found in a gymnasium. They have been among the most vociferous and committed fans drawn to HMHS basketball games. This is more than just a hometown or alumni connection to HMHS athletics. They come without fail to support their grandchildren who have starred in high school athletics.
On Friday, November 25, 2016, Jersey Java looked a bit like an HMHS reunion. A steady stream of alumni and alumni parents came through the doors to greet Christian Giudice, class of 1992, boxing writer, biographer, and high school teacher.
Visiting family in Haddonfield for Thanksgiving, Chris brought with him his newest work, “A Fire Burns Within” which tells the compelling tale of Wilfredo “Bazooka” Gomez, a Puerto Rican boxer who fought his way out of poverty to international fame as a three- time world titleholder.
