2012 Scholarship RecipientElizabeth Goetz (Ellie) Back to view all H.A.S. Scholarship Recipients During my time at HMHS, I always strived to be involved in school and extracurricular activities. I was especially active in the DECA Marketing Club where I served as Vice President for two years. Within DECA, I qualified to compete at the international level as well as earned awards at the state level. I also participated in stage crew for drama productions, and I played violin in the orchestra. I did winter track and intramural tennis. I maintained a 98.1 GPA. I was inducted into the National Honor Society and the National French Honor Society. I also participated in the Drexel Visiting Scholars program which enabled me to take two college courses while still in high school. Community service has always been important to me. For five years, I served as a mentor for a teenager with autism. I also volunteered at a senior living home, serving food and socializing with the residents. This past summer I worked as a customer service associate at Wawa; in fact, I worked for Wawa during my last school year at HMHS. I now attend Northeastern University where I am in the D’Amore-McKim School of Business. I am pursuing a degree in business, most likely marketing. I would love to work at the corporate level for a company doing marketing. Also, I recently joined the Delta Zeta sorority which I am confident will provide me great opportunities to network, make friends and continue my community service work. |
